Administration Factors affecting digital skills of teachers in schools under the Office of Bungkan Primary Educational Service Area

Abstract

This research aims to study, compare, and analyze the relationships and development guidelines, as well as determine the predictive power of administrative factors affecting the digital skills of teachers in schools under the Bungkan Primary Educational Service Area Office, according to the opinions of school administrators and teachers. The study will classify the data based on their position, school size, and work experience. The sample group for this research includes 348 individuals, consisting of school administrators and teachers in the academic year 2024 (equivalent to the Thai academic year 2567), determined using Krejcie and Morgan's table. This sample is divided into 87 school administrators and 261 teachers from a total of 87 schools. The sampling method employed is multi-stage random sampling. The research instruments include a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, interviews, and non-participant observation. The overall discrimination power of the administrative factors questionnaire (X_t) ranges from 0.85 to 0.96, with a reliability coefficient of 0.97. The overall discrimination power of the teacher digital skills questionnaire (Y_t) ranges from 0.75 to 0.93, with a reliability coefficient of 0.96. The statistical methods used for data analysis include percentage, mean, standard deviation, one - way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Scheffe's post-hoc test for pairwise mean comparisons, Pearson's product - moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
Research Findings:
1. Management Factors: Overall, management factors were at the highest level.
2. Teachers' Digital Skills: Overall, teachers' digital skills in the school were at a high level.
3. Comparison of Management Factors: When comparing management factors based on the 
opinions of school administrators and teachers, categorized by their position, school size, and work experience, it was found that overall there were significant differences.
4. Comparison of Teachers' Digital Skills: When comparing teachers' digital skills in the school 
based on the opinions of school administrators and teachers, categorized by their position, it was found that overall there were no significant differences. However, when categorized by school size and work experience, overall there were significant differences.
5. Relationship between Management Factors and Teachers' Digital Skills: Overall, there was a 
statistically significant positive correlation between management factors and teachers' digital skills in the school at the .01 level (r_XY = 0.395), indicating a high level of relationship.
6. Predictive Power of Management Factors: Four aspects of management factors were able to predict the digital skills of teachers in schools under the Bungkan Primary Educational Service Area Office: Human Resources, Performance Efficiency, Work Motivation, and Leadership.
7. Guidelines for Developing Factors Affecting Teachers' Digital Skills: There are four areas for developing factors that affect the digital skills of teachers in schools under the Bungkan Primary Educational Service Area Office: Human Resources, Performance Efficiency, Work Motivation, and Leadership.
