Guidelines for enhancing decision-making skill via Social Studies learning management

Abstract

Learning management of social studies in currently. The teaching and learning process must be adjusted to allow students to practice until they acquire the necessary learning skills in the 21st century. Thinking skills are skills that should be instilled in students. Especially, developing decision-making skill in classroom is of importance in order that a learner is able to make a decision when solving a problem. In the context of management of social studies learning, there are two approaches in enhancing learners’ decision-making skills: decision-making process and decision-making based on SWOT analysis. such learning management guidelines should emphasis on the classroom environment, teacher roles and learning activities. By enhancing learners’ skills, learners participate in a classroom activity in which classroom worksheets are deployed by participating in a classroom activity, it is hoped that learners realize the importance of critical decision-making process. The activity aims to improve learners’ decision-making process. Decision-making skills practice in the context of a social studies classroom. It can be used as a guideline for adapting and applying to solve problems from various situations in daily life effectively.
