Problems with issuance of title deeds for agriculture According to the Agricultural Land Reform Act, B.E. 2518 (1975)

Abstract

This research aims to study the concept of land title deeds issuance, to examine the relevant laws for land title deed issuance and for improving the f Sor Por Kor 4-01 documents for agriculture.

            The research reveals that there are two types of land title deed issuance according to Land Code comprising: issuance land title deed for whole sub-district area and for specific person. There are three issues about issues regarding changing Sor Por Kor 4-01 documents into land title deeds. These include: the issue concerning the procedural process of issuance eland title deed; the illegally acquisition of land rights; and thirdly it is the duration of occupation of land tenure for agriculture.

            The researcher, therefore, proposes some recommendations comprising: clear timelines for processing agricultural land title deeds; additionally, the issuing of announcements should be made for landless farmers to register for allocation of new land. To ensure fairness, the prohibition of a certain activities have to be made. This include: transferring and relinquishment of land rights, or any other actions that would result in granting agricultural land title rights to others, except in cases of marriage or inheritance.
