Performance of Duties of The Village Committee in Nong Hin District, Loei Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to 1) study the functions of village committees in Nong Hin District, Loei Province; 2) compare the functions of village committees based on gender, age, and education level; 3) explore ways to develop the functions of village committees. The sample used in this study consists of 340 members of village committees in Nong Hin District, Loei Province. The research tools include questionnaires, and the statistical methods used for analysis are percentage, mean, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing using t-statistics and F-statistics. The research findings indicate that 1) the overall level of functioning of the village committees is high; 2) the comparison of the functions of village committees shows that there are no significant differences in performance among committees with different genders, ages, and education levels, which does not align with the established hypothesis; 3) the development approaches for the functions of village committees include being punctual at all times and conducting strict safety checks in the village at night.
