Development of Training Course for Religious Ceremony Masters and Volunteers for Primary School Students to Expand Educational Opportunities in the Kranuan Group, Kranuan district, Under the Office of the Primary Educational Service, Khon Kaen Area 4

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were to: 1) study the needs and requirements for training religious ceremony masters and volunteers for primary school students, 2) create a specialized training curriculum for religious ceremony masters and volunteers to perform religious ceremonies and volunteer activities, and 3) test and evaluate the training curriculum among students of the Expanded Educational Opportunity Schools in the Kranuan group, under the Office of Primary Educational Service Area 4, Khon Kaen. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach. The research sample was divided into two groups: 30 participants, including school directors, teachers, and curriculum experts, for the needs assessment and curriculum development phase; and 37 lower secondary school students for the curriculum trial and evaluation phase. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The findings revealed: 1) training needs were at a high level; 2) the curriculum evaluation was high; 3) post-training knowledge (Mean=23.43, 78.10%) was significantly higher than pre-training (Mean=7.03, 23.43%) at the 0.05 level; 4) students showed high practical skills in religious ceremonies (93.97%) and positive volunteering attitudes (91.14%); and 5) satisfaction was high. These results confirm the curriculum’s effectiveness in developing student leadership in religious and volunteer contexts within the educational framework.
