Development of Training Course for Religious Ceremony Masters and Volunteers for Primary School Students to Expand Educational Opportunities in the Kranuan Group, Kranuan district, Under the Office of the Primary Educational Service, Khon Kaen Area 4

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were to 1) study the needs and requirement for training religious ceremony masters and volunteers for primary school students, 2) create a training course for religious ceremony masters and volunteers to perform religious ceremonies and volunteer activities for primary school students, and 3) test and evaluate the training course for religious ceremonies and volunteers students of the Expanded Educational Opportunity Schols , Kranuan group, under the Office of Primary Educational Service Khon Kaen Area 4. This study employs a Research and Development approach. The research sample is divided into two groups: 1) the group involved in assessing the training needs for religious ceremony leaders and volunteers, as well as in the curriculum development phase, which includes 30 participants consisting of school directors, social studies, religion, and culture teachers, along with curriculum experts; and 2) the group participating in the trial and evaluation of the training curriculum, which includes 37 lower secondary school students. Data analysis was conducted using percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The findings indicate that 1) the overall training needs for learning management to train religious ceremony leaders and volunteers among students are at a high level, 2) the overall evaluation results of the developed training curriculum for religious ceremony leaders and volunteers for students are also at a high level, 3) the comparison of the mean scores of knowledge before and after the learning management indicates that the average score after the learning management is significantly higher than the average score before the learning management, with a significant difference at the 0.05 level, 4) the evaluation of students' practical skills regarding religious ceremony leadership shows an overall high score, while the evaluation of students' practical skills regarding volunteering shows that students have a positive attitude towards volunteering, with an overall high score, and 5) students' satisfaction with the learning management of religious ceremony leadership and volunteering is also at a high level.
