Abstract

This research aimed to: (1) examine the level of evidence-based policy decision-making among school administrators; (2) investigate the level of school effectiveness; and (3) explore the relationship between evidence-based policy decision-making and school effectiveness in the Nonthaburi Secondary Educational Service Area. This study employed a quantitative research design. The sample consisted of 64 school directors and deputy directors under the Nonthaburi Secondary Educational Service Area in the 2025 academic year. The sample size was determined using the Krejcie and Morgan table and selected through stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire about evidence-based policy decision-making of school administrators and school effectiveness. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient. The findings revealed that: (1) the overall level of evidence-based policy decision-making among school administrators was high with a mean score of 4.47, with the highest mean score found in the application of evidence for policy formulation and decision-making; (2) the overall level of school effectiveness was also high with a mean score of 4.36; among the dimensions of school effectiveness, the organizational dimension obtained the highest mean score, followed by the student dimension and the teacher and educational personnel dimension, respectively; and (3) the results indicated a statistically significant positive relationship between evidence-based policy decision-making and school effectiveness at the .01 level (r = .363).
