Eating culture and way of life of the Roi Et Asoke community, Ban Lao Khaem, Ko Kaeo Subdistrict, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province

Abstract
This research aims to study 1) the formation and development of culture of the Roi Et Asoke community, 2) eating and way of life of the Roi Et Asoke community, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province. This study is qualitative research, by in-depth interview. The main informants were 10 Roi Et Asoke community leaders, citizens, selected using the purposive sampling method, and descriptive data were analyzed. The research results found that: 1) Formation and cultural development of the Roi Et Asoke community, founded by a gathering of dhamma practitioners according to Buddhist principles according to the guidelines of Samana Bodhirak (Rak Rakphong). It began with the dhamma practitioners having the idea of devoting their lives to serious dhamma practice, under the concept of good friends, good comrades, good society and environment It will be a culture of interdependence. Food culture teaches to eat vegetarian food. 2) Eating and way of life of the Roi Et Asoke community. It was found that the food of the Roi Et Asoke community eats vegetarian food as a food for eliminating disease. Helps to have perfect health. As for the way of life of the Roi Et Asoke community, the Asoke community is It has an open nature, that is, it is not limited by gender, age, hometown, race, and nationality. However, to become a member of the community, one must strictly follow the principles of the Asoka people, namely, observe the 5 precepts, avoid vices, and eat vegetarian food.
