The Effects of Mathematical Learning Activity on Set of the 10th Grade Students by Using Context – based Learning Approach

Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1) to compare the mathematical achievement of the 10^th grade students learning by using context – based learning approach with criteria of 60% and 2) to compare the mathematical achievement of the 10^th grade students learning by using context – based learning approach between before and after learning. The subjects were the 10^th grade students at Triamudomsuksanomklao School in Mathematics and English Program in the first semester of the academic year 2025. There were 40 students in this experiment. The instruments for experiment were the lesson plans by using the context – based approach. The instruments for data collection were the mathematical achievement tests. The data were analyzed by arithmetic mean, standard deviation and t-test.          

The results of this study revealed that 1) the mathematical achievement of students learning by using context – based learning approach were higher than the criteria of 60% at a .05 level of significance and 2) the mathematical achievement of students learning by using context – based learning approach after learning was higher than before learning at a 0.5 level of significance.
