Abstract

This independent study aimed to find the management approach for academic work to manage learning for alternative education students at Donchaiwittayakhom School, under the Office of the Secondary Education Area, Chiang Rai, by using the Participatory Action Research method using the AIC (Appreciation - Influence - Control) technique and the Scenario Planning analysis using the questionnaire tool, the Participatory Workshop Record (AIC), the environmental analysis using PESTEL Analysis (external factors) and 2S4M Analysis (internal factors) to lead to the management approach for academic work to manage learning for alternative education students with an effective PDCA quality cycle. The results of the study found that the management approach for academic work for alternative education students in terms of the curriculum started with a survey of opinions from the community and stakeholders to design an appropriate curriculum. The implementation focused on the effective use of the curriculum and monitoring of learning outcomes. Meanwhile, the audit focused on analyzing the quality of the curriculum to lead to improvements according to the needs of the learners. In terms of learning management, it started with an analysis of the learning structure and setting goals that were consistent with the learners. The implementation focused on activities that promote life skills and assessed learning outcomes with various tools. In terms of measurement and evaluation, it focused on surveying opinions to design appropriate methods according to the characteristics of the students. In terms of graduation, it started with a survey of opinions to determine graduation criteria that were consistent with the needs of alternative education students and the community.
