The Expectations of LGBTQ+ Tourists to Using Accommodation in Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract
This research aims to 1) study the behavior of LGBTQ+ tourists in using accommodation services in Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province 2) study the expectations of LGBTQ+ tourists regarding use of accommodation services in Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province. The sample consisted of 400 LGBTQ+ tourists by using random sampling. Using a questionnaire as a research tool. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics.
The results found that 1) Most of the respondents were between 19 - 30 years old, single, bachelor's degree, student, average income 10,001 - 15,000 baht/month, and originally from central region. The travel time is 1 - 3 days. The media that stimulates interest are Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, respectively. The respondents require a safety, good service, and complete facilities, respectively. They decide to choose their own accommodation. 2) The expectations regarding use of accommodation services found that respondents had highest expectations in terms of facilities, service, and safety respectively.
Accommodations should focus on improving the facilities and services of employees to meet the needs of LGBTQ+ tourists and create public relations media through channels online to stimulate interest in choosing to stay.
