Abstract


The objectives of this research were: (1) to examine the digital skills of support staff at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, and (2) to propose guidelines for the development of digital skills among support staff at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin. This study employed a mixed-methods research design. The quantitative component involved a sample of 234 support staff members at Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative component involved seven key informants, comprising university administrators, administrators responsible for technology-related functions, digital technology experts, administrators in human resource management, administrators from the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, a head of personnel development, and a computer technical officer. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that (1) the overall digital skills of support staff, as well as each specific dimension, were at a high level. (2) Regarding guidelines for digital skills development, the results indicated the need to focus on enhancing knowledge and skills in secure technology use, compliance with digital laws, and digital literacy, alongside strengthening digital leadership, applying technology and innovation to improve work efficiency and service quality, promoting systematic and secure data sharing, and preparing personnel to effectively respond to cybersecurity threats.
