Abstract

Thai food is a local wisdom that has been passed down for a long time, and it is well-known around the world .This research was aimed 1) to study the behavior and satisfaction of Thai food for foreigner tourists in Songkhla province. 2) to compare demographic character of foreigner tourists with satisfaction of Thai food in Songkhla province. 3) to guideline to promotion Thai food for foreigner tourists in Songkhla province. Groups of sample in this study composed of 400 foreigner tourists selected by purposive sampling method. Self-administered questionnaires and in-dept interview were returned and collected data analyzed using distribution of frequencies, percentage, average, standard deviation, T-test and F-test. Findings of this research were as follows:  The satisfaction of Thai food for foreigner tourists found that foreigner tourists have very high satisfaction of Thai food (  = 3.89). However, findings of hypothesis was foreigner tourists have different nationality sex age education occupation income and status, They have different satisfaction of Thai food at the statistical significance level of 0.05.  In addition, guideline to promotion Thai food for foreigner tourists in Songkhla province were as follow: 1) promotion and identity of Thai food at Songkhla province 2) specify the quality of Thai food 3) specify the standard price of Thai food and 4) training entrepreneur and waiter about Thai food to communicate with the foreigner tourists at Songkhla province.
