A Development of a Course by Course Transfer System of Student in Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya.

Abstract

The research "Information Development for Students’ Credit Transfer System of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya" aimed to develop an information system for transferring the credits or academic results of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) and investigate the system’s effectiveness and the users’ satisfaction towards the information systems for credit transfer of RUTS. For this research, the analysis and design of the system were conducted using data flow diagrams, database systems, and data dictionaries. The system was developed using PHP and MySQL.  A questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data from a sample group of teachers in the undergraduate transfer program that was offered. The research obtained 60 complete questionnaires, representing 82.19% of all questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentages, means, and standard deviation.

            The research showed that 60 teachers from all undergraduate programs of RUTS in Songkhla who used information systems for the credit transfer system rated the effectiveness of this system highly. Among all aspects, the speed of system access was rated the highest. Furthermore, the teachers as system users reported a high level of overall satisfaction with both the system's design and its general usability.
