The Performance of Health Volunteers in Development of Public Health, Thungpo Sub-District, Chulaphon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

Abstract

            The objectives of this thematic paper were as follows:- 1) To study the performance of health volunteers in development of
public health, Thungpo sub-district, Chulaphon district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. 2) To compare the performance of health
volunteers in development of public health, Thungpo sub-district, Chulaphon district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province in terms of sexes, ages, degrees of education, occupations and monthly incomes as differently and 3) To study the suggestions were concerned with problems and resolutions on performance of health volunteers in development of public health, Thungpo sub-district, Chulaphon district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The population were health volunteers in development of public health, Thungpo sub-district, Chulaphon district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province amount 196 persons, sample size according to table comparing of Krejcie and Morgan, the sample were amount 132 persons, the instrument for data collection was questionnaire both closed and open end questions, data analysis by package computer program, the statistical analyses have applied as follows; frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, and to test the differences in each pair by LSD, (Least Significant Difference).

           The research results were found as follows:- 1) The performance of health volunteers in development of public health, Thungpo sub-district, Chulaphon district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province by overview was at more level, when considered in each aspects found that the aspect of health service was the highest average and fallowed up the aspect of health development plan making and the aspect of management of budget for public affairs was the lowest overage, classified in terms of sexes, ages, degrees of education, occupations and monthly incomes found that by overview was at more level.
2) The comparative results on performance of health volunteers in development of public health, Thungpo sub-district, Chulaphon district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province in terms of ages, degrees of education and monthly incomes found that there were
different as statistical significance at .001, but in terms of sexes and occupations found that there were not different as statistical
significance at .05. 3) The suggestions were concerned with problems and resolutions on performance of health volunteers in development of public health, Thungpo sub-district, Chulaphon district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. The problem found that the declaration of financial was not cover to people, to invite people for participating in checking the process was so lack, planning for communicable disease and mosquito protection was not in good, the availability for essential drug to people was in less, The resolutions found that there should declare to people on financial, there should invite people for participate in process checking of financial, there should look after on elders especially about spiritual in community, there should co-operate with people for protection plan making on pollution of environment in community, the communicable disease should be regarded, there should train volunteers for looking after patients, there should provide for essential drug for people.
