Factors related to household debt during the COVID-19 epidemic in Thung Song District Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

Abstract

            This research aimed to study (1) the household debt burden during COVID-19 in Thung Song District, Nakhon Si Thammarat
Province, and (2) factors related to household debt during COVID 19 in Thung Song District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. This
quantitative used a questionnaire to collect data from the sample group of 100 people, selected by simple random sampling. Statistics used for data analysis were descriptive analysis from frequency, percentage, and mean.

             The results of data analysis revealed that most people in the sample group were female (56.0%), the most age range was 38
years old or older (37.0%), most education was secondary level (37.0%), main job was general employment (26.0%), most monthly
income range was less than or equal 10,000 baht (49.0%), the highest family members were 3-5 (68.0%), the highest number of income earners in the family was 1-2 (72.0%). Factors related to the increased household debt burden during COVID-19 included gender, age, education level, occupation, average income, and number of family members. Factors unrelated to the expanded household debt burden during COVID-19 19 was the number of family income earners, at the confidence level of 95%.
