Abstract

Digital technological advancements have significantly transformed organizational management and operations in both the public and private sectors, compelling organizations to adapt to increasingly complex and rapidly changing environments. Consequently, digital leadership has emerged as a critical factor in driving organizations toward the effective adoption of digital technologies, fostering innovation, enhancing work performance, and sustaining competitive advantage. This academic article aims to examine the concepts, components, and roles of digital leadership in improving employee work performance within organizations operating in the digital era. The study is based on an analysis and synthesis of relevant academic literature, textbooks, and research studies from both domestic and international sources. The findings indicate that digital leadership comprises several essential components, including digital vision, the effective utilization of digital technologies in organizational management, the promotion of continuous learning and digital competency development, change management, and the establishment of an organizational culture that encourages innovation and collaboration. These components demonstrate a positive relationship with employee work performance in terms of work quality, operational efficiency, adaptability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making. Furthermore, digital leadership plays a vital role in strengthening employee engagement, promoting the effective use of digital technologies, and enhancing organizational capability to respond to continuous changes in the digital environment.
This article suggests that organizations should prioritize the development of leaders' digital competencies alongside people management skills. In addition, organizations should cultivate a learningoriented culture and create a work environment that supports the integration of digital technologies and innovation. Such initiatives will contribute to improving employee work performance, strengthening organizational competitiveness, and ensuring sustainable organizational development in the digital era.
