Smart Literacy Strategies for Developing Transformational Leadership of Professional School Administrators

Abstract

This article examines smart literacy strategies for developing transformational leadership among professional school administrators. The objectives were: (1) to study the components of smart literacy strategies based on the royal initiatives of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, and (2) to propose guidelines for developing transformational leadership among professional school administrators. The study draws upon :(1) the royal initiatives and learning principles derived from royal speeches and addresses; (2) the concept of transformational leadership, which emphasizes inspirational leadership and positive change aimed at enhancing the potential of both leaders and followers so that they can grow together and effectively respond to challenges; and (3) concepts related to school administrators, who must possess visionary leadership and the ability to manage resources efficiently. The synthesis of these concepts reveals that school administrators can use the components of smart literacy strategies as a framework for professional development in response to change.  The findings indicate that effective self-development can be achieved through the following components: 1.Commitment with Faith – cultivating visionary administrators who can build collaborative networks and foster positive relationships; 2.Pursuit of Knowledge with Virtue – promoting continuous self-development, establishing a learning-oriented organizational culture, and adhering to moral and ethical principles; 3.Intelligent Application – enabling administrators to analyze situations, plan strategically, and effectively apply technology and innovation; and 4.Constant Vigilance and Improvement – encouraging administrators to regularly evaluate performance and engage in continuous improvement.
