Research Ethics and Human or Animal Studies
JCBE is committed to protecting the rights, dignity, safety, privacy, and welfare of research participants and to promoting the ethical treatment of animals used in research.
Research involving human participants or animals must comply with relevant institutional and ethical requirements.
Where applicable, authors must provide information concerning:
- ethics committee approval;
- ethics approval or protocol number;
- informed consent; and
- measures taken to protect participants' privacy and confidentiality.
The Journal reserves the right to request supporting documentation where necessary.
