Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring the integrity, originality, and accuracy of their submitted manuscripts.

Originality and Prior Publication

Authors must ensure that manuscripts submitted to JCBE are original and have not been published substantially in the same form elsewhere.

The same manuscript must not be submitted simultaneously to more than one journal.

If the work has previously appeared in the form of a thesis, dissertation, conference paper, research report, preprint, or other preliminary dissemination, authors must disclose this information to the Journal where relevant.

Plagiarism and Proper Citation

Authors must properly acknowledge all sources of information, ideas, theories, data, figures, tables, and other materials derived from the work of others.

Plagiarism, inappropriate paraphrasing, self-plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct are prohibited.

JCBE reserves the right to conduct similarity screening at any stage of the editorial process. Similarity results will be interpreted using academic and editorial judgment rather than solely on the basis of a numerical similarity percentage.

Accuracy of Research

Authors must report research methods, data, analyses, results, and conclusions accurately and honestly.

Fabrication, falsification, manipulation, intentional omission of significant data, or misrepresentation of research findings is prohibited.

The Journal may request original data or supporting documents where necessary for editorial or ethical verification.

Authorship

All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the research and/or preparation of the manuscript.

Individuals who have not made meaningful academic contributions must not be listed as authors.

All authors must approve the final manuscript and agree to its submission and publication.

Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must be appropriately justified and agreed upon by all authors.

Conflicts of Interest and Funding

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, personal, institutional, or other interests that may influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, the research or its interpretation.

All sources of research funding or financial support must also be appropriately disclosed.

Research Ethics

Research involving human participants or animals must comply with applicable ethical principles, institutional regulations, and legal requirements.

Where ethical approval is required, authors must obtain approval from an appropriate ethics committee before conducting the research and provide relevant information in the manuscript.

Authors must also protect participants' privacy, confidentiality, and personal information and obtain informed consent where required.

Errors after Submission or Publication

If authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their manuscript after submission or publication, they must promptly notify the Journal and cooperate with the Editor in correcting the scholarly record.
