Abstract

Good governance serves as a vital mechanism for enhancing public sector efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness to citizens' needs. This article analyzes the application of good governance principles in local administrative organizations through the theoretical frameworks of New Public Management, Systems Theory, and Public Value Theory. The analysis shows that following the six core principles—rule of law, integrity, transparency, accountability, participation, and value for money—makes organizations run more smoothly, cuts down on duplication, builds public trust, and makes public services more effective. Additionally, it fosters a workplace culture based on good governance, which supports long-lasting local growth that matches today’s public administration methods focused on achieving results and keeping citizens happy. This study proposes an integrated conceptual framework and policy recommendations for local administrative organizations in the Thai context.
